Today is the era of Information and Technology related to information.Most Indian Students who have finished their degree choose to study abroad. This leads to a chaos in visa,immigrations and I tend to see that they waste almost a year in arranging for leaving abroad for studies.
The best part is most of them return back to India and start searching for jobs or start a business.A friend of mine regretted in expenses that he spent in going abroad and supporting his studies through education loans and returned back to India from the US without a job.
On the contrary, I've found a few happy stories, who with utmost effort have landed jobs(even though not very highly paid) in the US.But its extremely rare to find such happy stories.
Choosing UK to do Masters is another problem as they are extremely strict in recruiting Non-EU students and also one year Masters from any European countries(specially the UK) is not recognized in India.
The success rate of many who have opted, Study in India option is high. India is got the best of Universities and in fact more feasible with Accreditation.
We all know about IITs and NITs in India to study. Even IIITs are well known for higher education.So I'm not going to talk about these in this blog.But I'm gonna dwell about Public Universities that offer innovative programs in India. India's public universities(most of them are state universities and a few of them are central universities) are among the best in its class to study.Most of these now have a world class infrastructure and facilities.To mention a few state universities,we have University of Madras,University of Mumbai,University of Calcutta,University of Mysore.To mention a few Central Universities, we have Pondicherry University,Jamia Millia Islamia Univeristy,Central university of Karnataka,etc.
I'm here to talk about a few innovative courses in IT in University of Mysore today.University of Mysore is one among the best state universities in India, the 6th oldest university of India, the first university to be established without the British Interference,by His Highness,then Maharaja of Mysore.
The Main Innovative programs offered by University of Mysore are:
1.M.Tech in Computer Cognition Technology :
Its a very innovative program and is designed for a cognate experience.Its permits B.E/B.Techs and also MSc Computers,Electronics,Maths and MCA candidates.It intakes 15-20 students and its through PGCET conducted by KEA.One has to enroll for a seperate Type B PGCET.Preference is given to industry experienced and cognate candidates.
2.M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology :
Again the course is innovative.Is has a different name and its curriculum is also different.Its again awesome but less cognate.Here Industry experience is not needed but the eligibility and numbers and selection mode is same mentioned in 1.

This is the best M.Tech course in the entire University of Mysore for its international curriculum and internationally acclaimed status. Its a Technology Program for Information and a Management Program for Technology.Its M.Tech and has a diverse feature.It has international status as its offered by University of Mysore ,in association of University of Pittsburgh,The Syracuse University, University of Michigan, Dalhousie University,IIIT Bangalore and Ford Foundation.
It has a blend of Indian and Foreign Students and is a part and parcel of University of Mysore.Its a blend of students.Almost 30 students are admitted for the course.Mysore University offers this course in a fully self financed scheme.One can apply to this course through GATE score/PGCET score/Any Nationalized University or State score/ even opt for a seperate entrance exam.At times for selected candidates the entrance test is waivered depending on a personal interview.Its open for BE/B.Techs(any branch) and also any Masters degree holder. Its a multi-discipline M.Tech.

Apart from the Information Technology and Cognition Subjects, University of Mysore offers a Post-Graduate course in Animation.This is the first of its course in Animation that is offered by a State University in India.This is a really innovative Post-Graduate Course in Animation.It has a curriculum designed and its a full time Course.It has a curriculum with a Global edge in India.Guys, you need not fly abroad to do a PG in Animation.Its now in our very own "Namma Mysore University." Eligibility for this course is any 3 year degree.
5.M.B.I.Tech :
This is a course of new era.Its for those who are interested in Information Technology and Its Business.A promising new domain and University of Mysore is offering this course in its self financed scheme.The course is called Masters in Business Information Technology.I would recommend this course for all science/BCA/BSc and even commerce graduates who want to enter into the new era of Information Technology and Business.
6.MSc Computer Science/MSc Tech Computer Science:
One can opt this course for MSc Tech in Computer Science and can exit in 2 years with MSc Computer Science. Eligibility is any UG degree with 3 yr pattern with maths or computer science as a base.
7.MSc Information Technology:
Regular PG degree in IT and its good to opt if you want to keep your MSc degree simple and neat.
